Zayn Malik nearly came to blows with a man outside of a New York City bar on Thursday.
The former One Direction member was captured on video, obtained by TMZ, getting into a verbal altercation with a man who exited the Little Sister Lounge, which was next door to where Malik was standing.
Sources told the outlet Malik, whose girlfriend Gigi Hadid was not with him, was smoking a cigarette when the unknown man tried picking a fight with the “Dusk Till Dawn” singer.
The man eventually lunged at Malik, who was separated from the man by people seemingly part of his team, and even called him a homophobic slur.
In response, Malik hurled insults back at the man, dropping the F-bomb occasionally, and eventually left the scene. There was no physical altercation between Malik and the man.
It’s unclear why Malik was shirtless in the video, as sources told TMZ Malik had his shirt on inside of Amsterdam Billiards Club, where he had been hanging.
Neither Malik’s rep nor the Amsterdam Billiards Club immediately returned Page Six’s request for comment.
Malik, 28, has been living a low-key life since Hadid gave birth to their daughter, Khai, in September. The crooner confirmed on Twitter that the supermodel had given birth.
“Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful.
“To try put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task,” he continued. “The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together.”
